San Benito County California Purchases Two Blue Bird XCEL 102 Buses
FORT VALLEY, GA., August 13, 2003 The county of San Benito, Calif., has taken delivery of two 2003 Blue Bird XCEL 102 buses. A-Z Bus Sales of Sacramento, Calif. handled all aspects of procurement.
The 35' long, 102" wide XCEL 102 buses are equipped with John Deere 8.1L CNG diesel engines, Allison B300R transmissions, Carrier RM-35 air conditioning systems, Braun UVL wheelchair lifts, American Seating recliners and full air suspensions. Both are fully ADA compliant. The buses are configured to seat 37 passengers.
Hollister, Calif., with a population of approximately 20,000, is the largest town in San Benito County.
"The XCEL 102s will be used as commuter buses in San Benito's transit system, " said Buddy Cox, Director of Sales & Marketing, Commercial Bus.
