Town of Jackson, Wyoming Purchases Four Blue Bird XCEL 102™ Buses

FORT VALLEY, GA (May 3, 2004) – The Town of Jackson, Wyoming/The Southern Teton County Area Rapid Transit (START) has taken delivery of four Blue Bird XCEL 102™ buses.

Click to EnlargeEach of the two-door XCEL 102s can carry 37 passengers and are ADA accessible. The bus comes equipped with a Caterpillar 3126, 275 horsepower diesel engine, Allison B400R transmission, and a Carrier RM-35 climate control system.

All aspects of the sale were handled by Colorado West Equipment, Inc.

The Town of Jackson is often referred to as Jackson Hole, which is the name of the 50-mile valley around the town. Jackson is a popular tourism destination because of its proximity to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, its scenic beauty, world-class skiing, and its western character.
