Overview
The All American Forward Engine bus provides strength, durability and safety. The transit design with its 33% larger, bonded-for strength windshield enhances site lines, while its one piece roof bow and unitized body construction offer unrivaled safety and dependability. Blue Bird continues it's legacy of leadership by setting new industry standards for driver ergonomics and productivity, safety, serviceability, passenger comfort, and life-cycle value. It’s many new features rest on our time-honored foundation of using superior materials and cut-no-corners construction. Thanks to its unequaled, better-than-ever maneuverability, coupled with a flexible array of body plans and seating configurations accommodating from 54-90 students or 36-56 adults, the All American FE is an ideal transportation solution, especially in densely populated areas and along highly-trafficked and/or tight and windy routes.
And for those customers tackling the roughest of routes, Blue Bird offers many attractive options to build on the established durability of the All American body and chassis such as bow inserts or double headers. One other solution designed to assist customers in going beyond the reach of other buses is Blue Bird's 4-Wheel-Drive Package, which combines Blue Bird's rugged construction and established strength with the 4-Wheel Drive experience of Marmon-Herrington. The 4-Wheel Drive option for Blue Bird's large bus line provides:
- Better traction in adverse conditions, such as sand, mud and snow
- Better steering control as it reduces rear end sway
- Hi Range 4WD – for traction when the area is not steep such as extremely slippery conditions or rocky gravel roads
- Low Range 4WD – for climbing or descending steep hills or passing through sandy areas or shallow water
