The School Transportation Supplier Council was formed in 1993 as a permanent standing committee of the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS) with the purpose of promoting safe, efficient school transportation by ensuring that the interests, concerns, developments, and capabilities of the supplier members of the school transportation industry are represented to NASDPTS. Members include a variety of companies that provide products or services to the school transportation industry. A vital aspect of the Supplier Council is the School Bus Manufacturers Technical Council. This council comprises engineers from companies that manufacture school bus bodies and/or chassis. The primary goal of this council is to encourage and promote safety in the design of school buses. Additionally, the council is the principal source of technical expertise for NASDPTS and provides assistance to the National Conference on School Transportation. We come to work every day with one common goal, to design, build, sell and service the world's finest school bus. That's what we do - no distractions, no competing priorities.
